The Buffy Foundation, Incorporated (TBI) was founded August 22, 2021 by Dr. Marvette Thomas. TBI is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Our mission is to foster national and international advancements in education, financial literacy, healthcare initiatives, civic/social justice, and the arts. To sum it up, “WE CARE." We seek to partner with individuals, organizations, and corporate sponsors in pursuit of our same shared mission. We are responsible and fair. We are not affiliated or controlled by any outside organizations that is not for all the people.
Meet the CEO & Founder
Dr. Marvette Thomas
Dr. Thomas Is also a venture capitalist. She is a partner with Effingham Manor and Winery in Nokesville, Virginia and Brew Republic Brewery in Woodbridge, VA.

Dr. Marvette Thomas is one of the most generous and inNfluential women in the Northern Virginia area of The Common wealth of Virginia. Dr. Thomas is an accomplished dentist whose goal it is to provic!e comfortable and affordable dental care access for all people. For over 20 years, Dr. Thomas has had a strong and continuous service presence in her local community and worlc!wide thrOUph supporting and participating in numerous health fairs, charitable fundraisers, outreach programs, school programs, youth sports teams, and overseas health missions.

Education wise, Dr. Thomas received her undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. She worked as a Nuclear Systems Engineer prior to becoming a dentist. This all could not have been possible without the assistance of others pouring into and assisting her. Her motto is to ”Pay It Forward.“ Today, she is member and hold board positions on numerous charitable and professional organizations. She is also a venture capitalist in various start up businesses.

Over the years, Dr. Thomas has been honored and received several awards. She has generated funding and given scholarships to many colleqe bound students. Durinp the pandemic while workinq to keep her own businesses ancl businesses cf her colleagues stable, she la unched The Buffy Foundation, Incorporated. She realized her efforts alone can only go but so far. With the Buffy Foundation, Inc., we are expecting to reach the masses with fostering aid and opportunities to many others in need. Dr. Thomas is tru!y the epitome of excellence. Her vibrant spirit and generous nature makes an incredible impression on everyone she meets and inspires them to elevate their own lives in the spirit of being able to “give back” the way that she does. Dr. Thomas leads by example, always setting the perfect tone for any project she takes on. Dr. Thomas is never passive or complacent and is always looking for ways to actively support and improve the lives of others.
